Many people came to my blog yesterday, searching for Firefoxlii.de. Thus, I decided to dig a little deeper because I am not the only one interested obviously. I searched for more strange landing pages, trying to earn money with Firefox downloads and the large amount of such websites just hit me. Simple example: just type “Mozilla Firefox” into Google. Some ads will appear at the top and on the right. If you look further on other sites (not Google), you could be drowning in them:
The strangest website even required a user registration before you could download Firefox. This site also changes its look if you change the number at the end.
I simply advice everone to take the correct source right from the beginning to stop this knid of “abuse”: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
